The FlyParty is the yearly meeting of Historical Aircraft Group, the Italian association of historical aircraft owners and pilots, founded exactly 20 years ago. The 15th edition of the FlyParty was held in Dominio di Bagnoli airfield, near Padua, Italy, on 22nd and 23rd June.
Unfortunately, technical problems prevented the participations of the “headliners”, some of the DC-3/C-47s of the D-Day Squadron which is touring Europe for the Normandy Landings 80th Anniversary. Moreover, bad weather prevented other participants from getting to the airfield, and forced others to leave on Saturday.
All photos were taken on Saturday 22nd, as weather forecasts were quite bad for Sunday 23rd.
The show was opened by the replica of the World War 1 bomber Caproni Ca.3, built by Fondazione Jonathan Collection (those of you who attended the Italian Air Force 100th Anniversary Airshow last year already saw it flying in Pratica di Mare). It arrived escorted by the foundation’s Tiger Moth.
